Christian Education

Idlewylde United Methodist Church offers many educational opportunities to grow your faith in Christ. We offer Sunday classes for all age levels at 9:45 a.m. as well as Men’s and Women’s Bible studies Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

Seasonal topics of study further enrich our worship as we seek to understand the awe and mystery of our faith.

Men’s program

The Book of Romans

Founded by Ms. Ruth Russ the weekday program began in the basement of the current church building. In 1960 the school moved to it’s current location on the corner of Regester Avenue and Parkway Drive. Carol Marshall was the director for the next 17 years. Today Connie Henning, continues as it’s director offering a  structured curriculum for 3 and 4 year olds through crafts and interactive play.

With a commitment that no child be turned away the congregation continues to fund a discretionary account for any child whose family circumstances make the monthly tuition a hardship.
